Who We Are

Focal Point Pictures was founded in 2021 by Stephen Oxenham. Stephen grew up in the Northeast of England, being put to work in his parents Fish and Chip Shop at a very early age. It was here, Stephen fell in love with the Great British Public, their lives and their stories.

​

After leaving University, Stephen struggled to find work in the diminishing North East television industry and relocated to London where he has worked in many of the country’s leading production companies including Pioneer, Atlantic, Raw, October Films, Darlow Smithson and Arrow Media.

​

After honing his craft in both development and production for over a decade and filming all over the world, he has overseen series across a range of genres ranging from Survival, Drug Rehabilitation, Engineering and Crime. He also developed and produced Discovery ID’s first ever full drama series which won several awards at the British Independent Film Festival including Best Feature and Best Cinematography.

Focal Point Pictures’ vision is to not only make unmissable compelling television, but to hire people from various backgrounds and regions within the UK. We have offices in both the Northeast of England and in Norfolk, to help ensure that no matter where you live in the country, a career in television is always within reach.
